a guy on ComcastSportsNet the other night said if we get both Peppers and Taylor look out as he projects out front 7 to be
OLB- Julius Peppers(mainly as he is faster off the ball or at the snap then Pierre Woods for this spot)
ILB- Jarad Mayo
ILB- Tedy Bruschi
OLB- Adalius Thomas
DE- Jason Taylor
NT- Vince Wilfork
DE- Richard Seymour
then look at out DBs
FS- James Sanders or maybe a 2nd rounder this year
SS- Rodney Harrison
CB- Shawn Springs
CB- Ellis Hobbs
OLB- Julius Peppers(mainly as he is faster off the ball or at the snap then Pierre Woods for this spot)
ILB- Jarad Mayo
ILB- Tedy Bruschi
OLB- Adalius Thomas
DE- Jason Taylor
NT- Vince Wilfork

I doubt Taylor would be at DE over Warren in this defense. Also, Merriweather probably will start at SS. This would mean we would be rotating in Wright, Taylor, (1st round draft pick LB), Harrison (assuming he returns), and Bodden. Pretty sick defense. We also hopeully will have Woods and Tank rotating in here and there.
With that said, I doubt we add both.

I don't believe that Peppers will end up here. He is a "Get Paid" Asante Samuel-type. We'd have to give him a fat contract after the trade to play in a system he doesn't have experience in. I really think all of the cap relief was more about keeping the guys around that are currently under contract that Belichick wants to hold on to, like Wilfork, Mankins, etc. and to have money for mid-level 20-something guys like newly-acquired Leigh Bodden.

I agree BUT I also thought Jason Taylor was a perfect fit. Im not sure if they are waiting on Peppers at this point, but we shalll see. The only thing is that the Pats could only talk deal with Peppers and Carolina through his agent, so if they have a deal, the financials must be close.

ADalius Thomas

From that link, here is just 1 reference to AD
""They lost AD [Adalius Thomas] this past week — a big addition to them last year. I know Bill [Belichick] is probably saying, "We just plug another guy in and keep going." Up to this point, they've done that.
