I certainly agree with Lowell being in there vs lefties instead of Ortiz. There is no reason other than blind loyalty to continue with this Ortiz must bat every game plan.

After tonight and seeing Lowell in the field, I really think we could land something pretty decent for him if it comes down to that. He also stated that this is his last year playing baseball so I doubt he's going to want to ride the pine for too much longer. Unless Beltre's other testicle gets smashed, or he hits below .200 I don't see how this can work out, especially if the Sox are so determined to see Ortiz in the lineup.
