That 3 game homestand is pretty damn near close to the end of the season. I don't think either of us want to be playing one another the last weekend of September or anything, like in 2005. We faced them at almost the exact same time next year as this past year-- with 2 weeks left in the season. I think it's perfect.

I don't want to feel compelled to screw up our postseason rotation because of a head-to-head matchup with the MFY. We can also use that last weekend to rest Manny and Drew and others.

I agree with your point but knowing the MLB I thought if it was a tight race at the end of the season, that it would draw a huge audiance. It very well could come down to the last 2 weeks of the season, if the sox don't take there famous end of the season free fall. I would like to see them actually win the AL East for a change and get a first round by.
Go Sox !!!!!
God Bless You !!

Barry Bonds at Fenway? I'm going to find someone going and have themhold up "Don't boo, he'll call us racist" every time he comes up to bat.

Who's making a return? Roberts is all i can think of. Are we facing the mets?

Too bad we're playing the NL West and not facing The Dodgers. Whoever made the schedule screwed that one up. I would have loved to have seen D Lowe and Nomar back here at Fenway.

It would have been a media blitz if they returned. Surely would have brought some high attendence and big time revenues. oh well

C'mon, when do the Sox not have high attendance and big time revenues? They don't need much help from the schedule makers in that department.

Well, same day ticket sales were garbage in September when we couldn't buy a win and most casual fans had never heard of most of the guys in our lineup and rotation. And concession sales suffered because people were skipping a game even though they had a ticket.

I don't think they plan on having this team throw in the towel with a month to go in '07.
